For the more astute amongst you, you'll be aware I'm presently skulking round Southern Germany, dispensing my particular brand of joviality & over indulgence to the best of my ability (And Alcoholic beverages capacity )
Allgäuer Alps (note the smidgeon of snow on the Grünten) - A favourite haunt from my wild days on "Snow Queen" - Bad Tölz "Weihnachtsmarkt" x3 (in 13°c with plenty of sunshine ) - Kloster Irsee - Monk juice - Inside the Braustüberl - Witchitty one & her Mum - Kloster Irsee.

I have missed his pictures very much...and I am sure there are others who have too.

No.... I don't think that can be true. Davemac has always had an avid following for his pics on here. They have always been appreciated.
So it is not because his pictures were not valued...they were.....and he and his wet wanderings are missed!

Thanks for asking as to my whereabouts, the reason is I had that many photographs that required sorting, some going back to the spring flowers, that I had to take time off from snapping to be able to catch up. It didn't help my productivity when I developed Bronchitis a week into my task which knocked me on my jacksie for three weeks.
Walter you will notice that I haven't posted on Hyndburn chat for the same period and Dianne asked me the same question.
I am now back on course working away at my backlog, however I still have an unbelievable 27000 to sort through to delete or keep, that's the output of 5 days a week, using two cameras. I also have to sort out those I want to put on Flickr, that's another site I haven't kept up to date for the same period.
I would hope normal service will be returning soon, but I will have to apply myself, both now, and in the future, not letting myself get so far behind.
So all the best for the festive season and the coming of a new year, I have just thought of a new year resolution for myself.
All the best to you and yours Dave .Glad to know you are better
Thanks Frank, for two weeks I was non stop coughing, my ribs and diaphragm hurt, but its all over now, but once the routine is changed it takes a bit getting back to norm.

I am pleased to hear that you are tackling your backlog of pics.....I (and I am sure many others) am/are looking forward to a visual feast.
I am sorry to hear that you have been laid low, and hope you are on the mend now(don't forget I am a fully certified nurse, and do a mean line in blanket baths....special rates for friends).
Hope you and yours have a lovely family Christmas, and a happy, healthy New year.
Is your new year resolution ' don't get thI gusset wet lad'??

If its not wet you aren't doing it right. I couldn't believe how many pictures I had taken, and how long they take to sort out, but sort them out I will.
I will probably be back in harness for the new year, so until then Merry Xmas and condiments for the new year.

Thanks, and the same wishes to yourself, I am still going out walking the dog, but have decided not to take any snaps until I have cleared my backlog, it is a bit strange not having a camera bag over my shoulder, but at the rate I was snapping I couldn't make any headway into the backlog.
So you are past the 'blanket bath' stage of your condition then.
What a shame. I have just opened a new box of Brillo's. They aren't so nice when they get rusty.
