Re: Today in pictures
Testing out gPick's advice on uploading photos from my iPad - if it still comes out upside down, I give up
Spring might actually be here in my part of the world: minus 10 at nights all week with a bout of ice pellets and snow. Then, like a switch turned on, we have abundant sunshine for the next three days with temps. approaching 20 degrees (eventually, on Sunday). We're all going slightly mad with delight. The robins are able to peck at the ground for food, and be still my heart, I swear I saw a turtle sunning itself on the far bank of the pond. Well, maybe

I think "A deluge of Daffs", might have been a good title to go with.

Re: Today in pictures
We had a visit this morning from this little Furry ratbag, after grubbing around in the flower beds for his "stash", he then scuttled up the apple tree to scoff his goodies, when that was gone it was off to the feeding station for a bit of "Self service".

Re: Today in pictures
Aww.......I want one like thast in my back yard.
Not much chance of that, though Ma has an abundance of the grey ones coming to her backyard for a feast.

Re: Today in pictures
I haven't been to Southport for weeks and weeks(sorry Gordon)......but today seeing as it was fine this morning I was roused from my bed and told to 'Stir my stumps'.
Only a few pics taken. Here they are.
1-3 A wooden horse Sculpture outside the Bold Boutique Hotel.
don't know if this is made of driftwood. It is very similar(though smaller) to one at The Eden Project in cornwall
4) enjoying spring sunshine by the boating lake(it was not as warm as it looked)
5) A swan that had just chased two mallard ducks from its territory.
6) a family enjoying a leisurely boat ride...though at least one member looks bored to tears.

Re: Today in pictures
Looks like a well built BBQ. I'm curious about the use of the word "Ottawa" in photo 3 - the name of Canada's capital city. The squirrels you have are adorable - I love the tufts on their ears

Re: Today in pictures
Today was a day of firsts: first cleaning of the car, first top down ride, first sighting of turtles on the ponds (for sure this time) first sitting on the patio, first BBQ. Yay!

To be honest I've no idea as to the name, they've a whole range of grills with similar names relating to Canada & North American, I suppose it's an image thing, makes the "Deutschers" feel like they're living the "American-Canadian" dream.
As to "Tuffty", aye he's a proper little charmer.

A few more birds from the kitchen window (except the magpie) while waiting for my DIY plastering to go off.
