At least you have not got caught in the traffic heading for Dover
True Frank & we're never likely to either because I refuse point blank to give those 2 faced, traitorous, cheese eating, surrender monkey french any of my hard earned in any way shape or form!
It's the Cloggies (who are a damned site nicer & friendlier by the way) who get our pennies, Hook-Harwich or Rotterdam-Hull for us when we travel back to UK.

I used to go from Sheerness Dave to a place I cant pronounce or spell but it was in Holland and something like Vlissengen.
A few random snaps from the past month...
It's been a very hot, humid summer so far with very little rain. Any excursions are taken early morning, if possible, followed by a hasty retreat to air conditioned comfort. I did venture down to the nearby ponds, and was pleasantly surprised to find a dearth of mosquitos! Only got one bite.
My patio garden is coming on like gangbusters, but I have to water it at least once daily. This year's Morning Glory is much better than last year's when I got no flowers at all.
Miss Pris was suspicious of the Catnip that I'd grown for her, begged for more dinner (typical!) and chillaxed in her lounger.
Lovely shots Jen.
Love the one of the water lily......beautiful!

Today I said to the wife as I walked out of the door wont be long, anyway two hours later I am back in the house with my jeans wet up too the knees after walking through the long grass, champion. A bit of the Hyndburn as it goes through C-L-M.

Often called the river stink, it is far from that description now, the weir that you see in the pictures has been observed having sea trout migrating up the river. I have also seen trout both swimming and being caught further upstream near the Dunkenhalgh, Kingfishers have also been seen by myself as well but only as a flash of turqoise.
The wild raspberries were very small from lack of rain, but we still managed to make a few jars of jam; a couple of roadside shots (everything looks green, but with little rain all month its really quite dry); Gairloch Gardens in Oakville with my late Aunt's favourite bench in the rose garden, some very strange plants (at least to my eyes) and Lake Ontario (I was hoping for some cool breezes but didn't get any that day. Lastly a trail I must take a walk along - someday - when the mozzies have died down.
A Sunday run out to Urk on the Ijsselmeer, variable weather but hey ho!
An Orca in Urk - The bag woman & the hound - A couple of street views - A Tug off to work - Dinner at "De Kaap" restaurant, the obligatory "Kibbs", chips & Shandy a pleasant extra - It was somewhat soggy after dinner - Urk harbour.
1. Woke up this morning to find a sqatter making itself at home in the bathroom.
2&3. No idea what`s gone on, but there were loads of beer cans and bottles underneath the motorway bridge.
