It takes too much faffing about to use HDR in general photography, setting up a tripod etc.
Like you, I try to get it right with manual settings. Then cropping down or resizing to post here spoilts them. I've some cracking photos printed on gloss A3 which look rubbish posted here.
Do you have a flickr account, perfect for seeing full size, or upload to this sites gallery I don`t think there is a file size limit there (might be wrong on that one though)
No I don't have a flicker account Gpick.
I have membership of two Facebook sites where I post full size files and I do a bit of photography for the Transport museum for their website and some they frame and put in the walls.
I have seen some of my transport photos for sale on eBay by someone who has obviously copied them from the web, I copyright certain ones now.
I know what you mean
Years ago before I knew what I was doing ( I was to bloody trusting) I let someone use a really good photo I had took of a re enactment over here next thing I know he had copyrighted it an was getting praised from the historical site
I don't think it works like that, the photographer has automatic copyright of their work unless they give it away as part of a contract. Allowing use doesn't give away copyright.
This was years ago I didn't know better no proof I took it
Except it was on my camera oh well we live and learn
But it was a great photo
Over here they seem to make the rules as the go sometimes

I have a Nikon Df camera which allows you to enter your email address and also put a copyright mark with your name in a file. It automatically embeds the information on each photo I take. With exif software it shows up but not on the actual photograph.
