Thanks Gremlin, not an awful lot done to No. 2 other than add a graduated filter to the sky to bring out the clouds a little which I have to do to most pics.
I did forget to correct the white balance though , is this any better?
I don't mind post production stuff.
You can see it has been done and it is just expressing a bit of artistic licence.
I like them all... but as Russell says number four is a cracker.
Russell loved your pics of Portmeirion.
It brought back some very happy memories of taking Ma down there...and going there with a work colleague.
We laughed a lot and Ma brought back the ugliest plant I have ever seen....a Gunnera(I hope I have spelled that right).
We nursed the thing all the way back from Wales...we were like the Clampetts on Tour!

The conditions weren`t great for the sky, I try to get as close to realistic as possible (most of the time) but when the sun lights up the clouds like it does my camera needs a little help. Even bracketing didn`t work that well, so they are what they are, just a bit of fun for me while excercising the dogs.
4 pics here are the attempt at bracketing, skies still not great even on the photo exposed for the sky.
(no sliders were harmed in the making of these pics)

I will admit the image of the cloud behind the kite wasn't planned.
It was a gusty day and the kite was whizzing everywhere and I was trying to track it with the camera. I had one or two very crisp shorts but that was just a lucky one which I didnt know I'd got until later, pity it's not as sharp as the others.
Russell, you are really hard on yourself.
The image is what it is and the capture is imaginative.
I imagination is a valuable attribute for someone who takes pictures.
I love the shot.

Thanks, the actual picture is deceptive, the other side was missing due to slugs eating it.
Dave, that is what is called 'A queen Anne front and a Mary Ann behind'.
Something said of an article that looks good from only one angle.
Behinds never look very special...and I should know because I have seem my fair share
