down on the right hand side of the page there is a little box that says 'add tags'
It helps to tag the pictures with locatiion and descriptive terms....if you go to one of my pics you will see it tagged with things like(in relation to my latest uploads) Liverpool, Radio city, Three graces.
Divide each tag with a comma.
People may stumble on your pictures...but tags will lead them to the pictures.
They deserve to be seen...not just stumbled upon.

I have upladed a screen shot so that you can see where I mean.
Hope it helps.

Yesterday I was invited by the Todmorden Health Centre Champions to go along to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park near Wakefield to take photographs for their website and their display.

I borrowed a big Motability type scooter from the Park so I could get around easier and I’d just handed it back when there was a heavy down pour.
The two mini buses the Champions hired were parked close by so after a quick brew in the restaurant we jumped aboard and set off home.
Shame it wasn’t sunny though.
A bit of a mixed bag from me today.
The first three pics are my hand made cards.
It is Marnie Moofrey's birthday today she is 14(going on 24)
The first card and verse are from me and grandad.
The other card is for her too, but from her brother.
The rest of the pics are Rufus.
I unpacked my shopping the other day and before you could say Jack Robinson....he was in my bag.
This is the bag he was transported in when he was a kitten....do you think he might hope to be taken back?
So you have heard of the Cat in the Hat....this is Cat in a bag.

Thanks Margaret, Perran Sands Beach & Perranporth beach. The Lonely Stone (I`m going to use that for it`s Flickr name if you don`t mind) was an experiment that didn`t work but liked the result anyway.
The last 3 weeks I've been watching a pair of Oystercatchers on the River Calder who have been nesting near the weir at Whalley.
Last week was the first chance I got to see how many eggs they were sitting on.
I went down on Saturday evening, and alas the oystercatcher nest had got flooded after 12 hours of heavy rain, both the birds were still hanging around, either flying about the nest site or landing on what bit of the island remained above the water...
1. Oystercatcher
2. Settling down on the eggs
3. Flooded nest

No, of course I don't mind.
I took a picture of a pile of stones on Llandudno beach a few years ago.
I think the children had been seeing how many stones they could balance on top of each other....I took a picture of that.
Sometimes failed experiments have good results....not the ones we expected, but good anyway.
I will head over to Flickr and add my 'like' to your pic.

What a sad conclusion to the story.
Hope they build somewhere safer next time.

I was asked to take some photographs of the Anderton Boat lift by an old chap who is housebound and knew I was going there.
I cleaned the sensor on my Nikon and fitted my favourite 50mm prime lens. Put a clean SD card in the camera and a freshly charged battery, plus a spare in the bag. Clipped my Black rapid cross body strap to the camera and put it all in the camera bag. Drove round to Matalan where the coach was picking us up and as the coach arrived I took my coat out of the back seat of the car but where was the camera. On the sideboard in my hallway. What a plonker. Anyway I recently bought a new Iphone X so I did my best with that.
No 1, The lift.
No 2, Looking across the Weaver Navigation at ICI Winnington where I spent many hours years ago loading my tanker with sodium silicate.
No 3, Looking down from the viewing area at the river, ICI and a car show.
No 4, Taken from the boat coming up in the lift after a short river cruise.
No 5, Another view of the lift.
No 6, Entrance to the lift tanks for the barges.
No 7, Another view of ICI.
No 8, A Mini convertible at the show.
No 9, An amphibian.
Although the plant I refer to as ICI it is now Tata Chemicals Europe.
