Handbrush and dustpan to the ready, they were swept in to the dustpan, cold tap running into the sink, giving them swimming lessons, stamping on the ones on the floor, then armed with ant powder, which i hasten to add, i bought from Asda before i left England, poured it onto the step outside, non have been in since. Only trouble is, there are millions of them milling about outside. They seem to appear early morning before the heat starts. But the ant powder, i can certainly recommend.
You'll have to be careful in Spain vera, they could be man eaters

PestClear 2000 Pest Deterrent
Plugs into any 3 pin socket.
Unwanted pests leave after an average of two weeks.
Operates 24 hours a day to keep pests out, for only a few pence a week.
One unit covers average size house.
This device will not affect computers, faxes, televisions or any electrical equipment.
VERY EFFECTIVE - against many 'creepy crawlies' including cockroaches, rats, mice. woodlice, ants and other rodents - ideal for homes, offices, farms, factories and restaurants.
I tried these to discourage very large spiders, unfortunately the cats would not walk past them, I guess they could hear something. The cats began behaving very oddly, yowling and crying, it took us a while to realise that it must be the plugs. When we removed them, peace was restored.
PS The spiders left home though!!

Strange that - I have a cat who hasn't been affected.
He is 15 years old so maybe is a bit deaf.
....or maybe only young cats can hear it, like those 'mosquito' machines that are used to disperse gangs of chavs.
