Gayle Knight being cute and rude at the same time, oh good, would you like wear the green costume Gayle? I think you look cracking in Green. Well, I’d love to spend time doing now’t but I have to work for a living.

By the way, I’ve had to almost obligatory e-mail purporting to be from e-Bay, mine was the one asking me if I’d like to cancel the $47 purchase of a 18” Blackman’s whooper I made and have the refund made to my card……The spam filter picked it up and binned it.

Careful Doug, or Kipax will get on your case as well. You didn't receive an email FROM ebay, you received an email that looked like it came from ebay.

Re: Beware - Ebay scam

I have to say the scammers on ebay are getting very "clever" these days. When I first started with Ebay a few years back, I was very gullible and didn't understand it all, anyway I got stung with a link for "Paypal" and ended up having £254 taken out of my bank account and just before Christmas too!

Luckily I got the money back after 6 months and it bought my daughter a playhouse, but nontheless.

The latest one that seems to be doing the round at the moment is when someone emails you saying you have "won something" like this

I get a message from a seller

'item shipped cheers '

I look at the discription it isnt and item that i bid on. I tried to check the item number and 'view here' but it says the item is in dispute as non paid.

I have checked 'my ebay' and definitely not me! - I've not actually bought anything for a couple of weeks (highly unusual for me in itself, but knew I hadn't bought it!!)

Also another one doing the rounds at the minute is through the classified ads such as Loot and Freeads etc. We've recently advertised two cars on there and we must have had around 100 emails from these scumbags! Heres the link below for you to check it out - its not just Western Union either!!

Re: Beware - Ebay scam

change your passwords and I'd also never use ebay on internet explorer, only firefox.
