Re: Botox

I've heard that if you suffer from excessive perspiration having botox injected into your pits stops you sweating so much....I've met a few fellas who could do with a bit of that.

Re: Botox

Having Julie pointing out my increasing grey hair my response is that its part of who I am. I see no need to hide it or pretensd it isn't happening.

my humble opinion is that natural is best, we don't 'need' it and is it just a cover to some insecurity that isn't going to go away? In fact, hiding it now may be just feeding that insecurity so when they come back it becomes an ever increasing spiral. at what point do you think you will accept that we get wrinkly as we get older? There has to be a point where you throw in the towel?

Embrace who you are, love yourself despite what society thinks.
It's only a temporary measure is it worth the pain and money over and over again to try and capture your youth?
I for one would never consider Botox or any other anti-aging treatments,we all fingers crossed get older and look older why try and change it?

A friend of mine had the treatment on her lips.
She looks like she's been hit in the face with a cricket bat.
Don't do it.

Re: Botox

The thing is you can turn the aging process off, or even delay it, that is unless your Joan Collins. The way you look now is the way it should be, I look in the mirror very morning, and keep saying to myself you the hell is that starnge old wrinkly in my bathroom cabinet, but sadley its me

Re: Botox

There is a lot to be said for growing old gracefully.
Not all Hollywood stars have anti aging treatment.
Diane Keaton advocates against it, and I admire her for it.
Many signs of aging result from poor health and often nothing can help that.
Nothing ages anyone more than pain.
We just need to try to preserve health, instead of outward signs of youth

Re: Botox

A little bit of botox which is what Fibi wants is ok but where do you draw the line, I think cosmetic surgery/fillers etc can be quite addictive and there's nothing worse than being able to tell when someone has had work done, in the end they often look worse than when they started.

Re: Botox

I can't see any good reason to pay to be injected with poison.
If you have a mental problem whereby you feel inadequate with the way you look, the money would be better spent on therapy to improve your self esteem.

Ageing is a funny thing. Whenever I see old friends from school, they always look (to me) just as I remembered them, and they say the same about me. Yet when I look in the mirror, I see crow's feet looking back. I haven't considered Botox and don't think I would. I like to think of my emerging wrinkles as the old laughs and smiles I've had...

To be honest, I'm more concerned about new body parts that keep appearing. Bingo wings, back fat, skin tags and extra chins!!!!!!
