Broody

After weeks of discussions etc me and Corker have decided not to try for another baby (for many reasons),only problem with this is im still left feeling VERY broody.
This is not helped by nearly everyone around me being pregnant or having their babies at the moment....anyone got any tips to stop the broodiness...
PLEASE DO NOT say look after someones baby......it makes me worse (even if i look after them for long lengths of time).

Re: Broody

Think you need to take up knitting to take your mind off it all (being cheeky) but on a serious note this can be very hard to break the feeling of and I wish you luck.

You could try to find a hobby or some invovlement in a VAS (voluntary aid society) or something like that.

Re: Broody

Thanks for your reply....at least you didnt come out with 'remember all those dirty nappies and nights awake with a crying baby'.....boring.
I was considering voluntary work before the baby idea crept up on me,but i have no one to look after Jack whilst i do it.....his dads at Uni and my fella works long hours therefor id have to pay for childcare :S

Re: Broody

that depends on what you decide to do and when you do it. Look at CVS (think they have website). ther maybe something for Jack to join when he is older to give him a direction

BLIMEY KITT
thank god u decided not to try for another, you and your fella only been together a short while , You should be enjoying each other not thinking about babies !!!! You got Jack to keep you busy and give you so much pleasure ... Enjoy what you have for now and let nature give you the intended in due time . dont force it .
The broodyness will pass and return and pass and return and pass. you will know when its right for you on a serious level and not just because its trendy atm .. good luck hun xx

Re: Broody

Dont worry Kitty will send my pre teen brood down - will soon stop the broodiness, gawd constant sniping, moaning, winging, stropping, money costs, oh & hiding piggin milk from me too - a new one

Definitely borrow a baby/tot now & again great for laughs & cuddles, then hand back over when the noisey crying starts or the nappys full

Arn't kiddies lovely

Re: Broody

I've never been broody. Might be because i looked after my nephews and nieces and also had my mum to look after. I always said when i was growing up though if i had kids then i had them but otherwise its never bothered me. I've always done voluntary work though and did a lot with kids cub and scout leader for a couple of years and then a brownie guide leader for god knows how many, then helped out in the local primary school. An idea for you if Jack goes to nursery then volunteer at the primary school for a couple of hours while hes there. You can always ask.
