When squeezing oranges or lemons first roll the orange on the work top with the palm of your hand till soft. Will get you more Juice.
Also a minuit in the Microwave does the trick.

Re: Cooking

My mother-in-law gave me this recipe, it's delicious and sooo easy.

4oz glace cherries
220g tin crushed pineapple in juice
4oz butter
12oz mixed fruit
6oz soft brown sugar
8oz SR flour
2 eggs

Pre-heat oven to gas 3, electric 170

Chop cherries, and place in a pan with pineapple and juice, butter, mixed fruit and sugar.
Heat gently to melt butter but do not boil.
Leave to cool (approx 10-15 mins)
Seive in flour, add beaten eggs.

Line 8inch cake tin, put in mixture, bake for 75 -90 mins, till firm and skewer comes out clean.

If you can resist, leave to cool for 2 hours min.

Re: Cooking

Put mustard on your tatters before roasting.. I hate mustard but the roasting takes the bitter taste away from the mustard and just leaves a right nice tangy taste to the roast spuds. .. hmmm yummy
