comb the loose bit off very very gently and wash hair by putting the shampoo directly onto the baby oil, without water.

Re: cradle cap

Wow thank you all for your input i think i will keep with warm baby oil if i try leaving it on over night and and brushing against the hair gently before washing off with dentinox cradle cap shampoo. Borax just sounds too harsh!

I noticed she rubs some of the cradle cap off in her sleep and her hair comes off with it!
She dont mind it but it just is unsightly and feels rough not soft like a babys head should feel.

Re: cradle cap

thats what we were taught to do... good idea to put a towel down or the oil will get everywhere and wont wash out.

Re: cradle cap

I used borax on my eldest who had it quite badly. It worked fine and to prevent cradle-cap recurring I stopped using shampoo on her (she only had bum-fluff 'til she was a 18 months old anyway) and just used to rinse with water.
