Re: dry hair

For goodness sake Flashy !! ... stop p**sing about, pay yer money, lash out on a decent hairdresser .. get those split ends cut out professionally .. they have deep heat conditioning treatement too. Worth the money, and come to the next meet with a head of shining glory (thought it looked ok last time I saw you actually, even though you did cut it yerself )

Have to consider, that sometimes, dry hair comes from within, like a lack of a vitamin .. but I 'aint no health guru. x

Re: dry hair

I tried olive oil once but it made my hair go all limp. A friend recommended baby oil but I've never tried that.

Re: dry hair

Mine is well dry too, always has been. I've always been envious of blonde, straight hair. Mine is wavy, grows outwards, as someone already remarked, was dark but now has more than a hint of grey.

I think the colouring ruins it. Leave that alone for a few weeks and treat it with a gentle baby shampoo and a good conditioner.

Re: dry hair

dry hair repair formula: found this thought it may interest you!

INGREDIENTS
2 ounces aloe vera gel
1/2 teaspoon oil (avocado, jojoba, or even olive oil will work)
2 ounces organic apple cider vinegar
1 ounce powdered milk
1. Combine ingredients in a bowl and apply to clean, wet hair. Allow formula to remain on hair for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse well with warm water. Makes enough for 1 treatment

Re: dry hair

Cindy and Annie have recently been using the "Fructice (sp)" shampoo and conditioners. Not sure if you can get it over there. I just use Pert as it contains both shampoo and conditioner together.

May be the different type of water. When I use the frutice moisturizer it leaves my hair feeling kinda mooky!

My hair is dead dry and looks like a bush. I use vo5 for frizzy or dry hair plus a leave in conditioner and occasionally a serum.

Flashy, of all the advice thus far given, I think you should allow Garinda to try this out on you. Therefore my suggestion is, at the May Meet, after Rindy has allowed to pass through his system his fav. ale or lager, you allow him to test this theory out! I would imagine by passing a hat, a large sum of quid could be raised to encourage this experimental research! I shall be the first to put in a fiver!
