Free cinema tickets for carers!

I got a newsletter that say's there is a national card scheme amied at disabled people,it lets the holder get one free cinema ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema. This is the website for more info,
http://www.ceacard.co.uk/index.html
The Cinema Exhibitors Association card
the card lasts for three years and costs £5.
It may be of use to anyone who is disabled or who cares for someone!

My Mum is in a wheelchair and we have been to all sorts of shows, exhibitions, theatres etc and never once has the carer been charged anything.

Portmeirrion in Wales even sent a special van to pick us up from the bottom of a really steep hill......it was where the restaurant was situated and the restaurant staff organised it for us.

Re: Free cinema tickets for carers!

My wife and I have been to a lot of places in the UK where the carer is given a price break. The theatres in London, for instance, many of which will do a wonderful job making both the disabled person and the carer feel welcome indeed. I give the UK high marks on this one!
