Sorry, don't think this is correct at all AccyLass .. probably just other rashes of some sort. Would be extremely rare to catch even twice.
Anyway, don't let them have contact with other children until all the scabs have formed, otherwise will infect others.

Chickenpox is very common in children, and it tends to only cause mild illness (for more information see Related topics). Once you have had chickenpox, you usually become immune to it for life, although on rare occasions people can catch it again.

Re: free to a good home- Chicken Pox
Hiya All
Thanks for all the hints and advice.
Yes Emzy you were right about your vinegar idea an the oatmeal. Think you should work in the medical profession!
On another note, I know that there are oatmeal based creams for eczema- likkle spiderman suffered from that as a baby as well. Cant for the life of me remember what its called though.
Heres hoping little one has a decent nights sleep. He tries his best not to scratch during the day, but at night he's movin around a lot and really restless with it. Hes got a couple of really nasty looking spots, and a couple of spots in nasty places on his body, bless him. We're not leaving the house, luckily i have people running to the shop etc for me!!!

I dont suppose he will sleep with gloves on?? I know, it's warm.... but it could stop him scratching the heads off in his sleep.

onlyme......I was in the medical profession for 29 years.....am not going back to that again.......but the oatmeal thing is donkeys years old......I think my gran passed it on to my mum...and so on.
But grans today don't seem to have that kind of expertise anymore....they can tell you what you are doing wrong with your mobile phone though .
Hope the little guy had a better night and is on the road to recovery.

Re: free to a good home- Chicken Pox
a bit but postie woke him up this morning with a bloody recorded letter.
put him down for an afternoon nap cos he was done in, and slept fitfully for about 45 mins, kept half waking up and crying. Had a lie down with him, as soon as i left the room, he woke up and cried again.
Am now off out to shoot some chickens, Dont care if its nothing medically to do with them, the name association is a good enuff link for me
