As explained earlier, it is NOT the thermostat that causes this problem.

Lol just seen this post and guess what! ive still not had the cooker fixed :-( cant afford it new baby on the way, xmas comming and the same week my tumble dryer broke! it cost me £65 for me to get the dryer fixed and i think i was ripped off it cost e £65 for a copasitor(not sure on spelling) and i had to go back to them 3 times because it stopped working 3 times after they fixed it! So far ive got by on using just the hobs, grill , microwave and steamer! steamed chicked, veg and new potatoes for xmas dinner i think or cheese on toast! lol thank you all anyway.x

The capacitor was £50p
Fitting £4.50
Knowing where to fit it £60

I think my cooker has a similar problem as oven does not heat up fully. Everything inoven takes a lot longer to cook. Thought about getting a new cooker, then I saw the price, as most of basic cookers are too small, not that our current one is that big, just standard 55cm wide with eye-level grill, and battery igniter.
I suspect it just needs a proper service.
