Home Remedies

I've had an upset tummy for a couple of days now and have been feeling sick and i had nothing in the house that i thought would cure it, until someone pointed out earlier that i had a box of Tetley Peppermint Tea in my cupboard, its been there at least 12 months and i'd even forgot why i'd bought it...

i put the Tea bag in the cup, poured some hot water on it....and it went green, looked like dish water....i eventually drank it and feel a bit better now

does anyone else have any home remedies that we can share with each other for minor ailments?

i bought Richard some ginger tea from Holland and Barett(sp?) last week and he said it was awful, dont bother with that Emma, you can get peppermint tea from all supermarkets, its not as bad as it sounds either

but dont make the mistake of putting milk in it lol

Re: Home Remedies

Off the subject of teas but still with home remedies, for a sprained ankle soak comfrey leaves in boiling water and make a poultice.

If you can't stomach the ginger tea....then you could buy some glace ginger(the kind you put into cakes) and suck that......it is good for nausea of any description.

Re: Home Remedies

Bicarb in water will help with cystitis if you haven't got any cystitis relief sachets in. Tastes vile though, but better than cystitis !
