I suspect that you are laying it in a bathroom.
I have done this once (successfully) I didn't glue it down The way of making it easier, is to use the floorcovering that you lift up, as a template on the one you are putting down.(leave a 'seam allowance' as you would when dressmaking - and trim it when down) Fitting round pedestals is tricky - you will need to cut it so that the join is behind the pedestal ps fitting vinyl tiles is easier but they wont work well if the floor is uneven
