Leather Chesterfield

Hello, can anyone help me, ive got a oxblood leather chesterfield suite and it is getting quite faded in places, i know they are supposed to do this, but i would like to know if there is a product that you can buy that you put on it to to restore it to its former glory?

Hi mummiboo, the classic car renovators use a firm called woolies for restoring and recolouring leather car seats. Try www.woolies-trim.co.uk. For leather food try www.gliptone.com. Theres also a bloke down Helmshore way who does a similar product but I can`t remember his name!

Re: Leather Chesterfield

Are you wanting to actually restore the colour or just "feed" the leather and let the faded colour remain? There's an accepted trend for the latter and in that case you could use a traditional leather food/cleaner type thing such Preslea leather feed (which I used to use - don't know if that's still available) or Melaleuca's rustic touch which I use now and is good for wood as well as leather.

If it was mine I'd prefer to keep the "lived in and loved" look and just nourish it. I would try a good furniture shop for the leather feed. If they don't have any they should be able to tell you where you can get it. Rustic touch is only available from/via a Melaleuca agent.
