Looking for info on Accrington Gun Club

Hello every one.

I am trying to find any information abt the Accrington Gun Club from the early 1900's.

I'm in Australia and have had in my family for sometime a winners cup from the Accrington Gun Club 1905 through to 1915 or so. With winners in Graves onto it. How I got it and where it's been is an amazing story I'm trying to finish. I was hoping to find out if the gun club still exist ?

As a school boy in the fifties I attended Woodnook Secondry School. We had a teacher called Miss Atherton, who had a friend who ran a Gun Club. She would ask us periodically if any of us were interested in coming to the club to learn shooting. I myself never went.
If I remember correctly the club was in the Knowlmere St. Area, but not sure about that, or even if it still exists.
I suggest you start a new Forum Topic on this subject as probably more people would be interested.

Cheers

I remember Miss Atherton...she was the arts teacher...I never knew about the Gun club though...maybe she only asked the boys.
