If you insist on doing it this way, shake it over the bannister rail (assuming you've got one).

Wait while Jimbob comes on...I'm sure he will tell you how and where he stuffed his Hammock in the good old days.

Not insisting I do it any way apart from the easiest most pain free way. Not clear how I would secure it at the top by the bannister while I went half way down the stairs to pull the bottom bit down.

I think I need a maid

I do it inside out too. Start with the cover inside out and hold onto the corners. Then grab the top corners of the duvet through the cover. Shake the cover down over the duvet and then when it gets to the bottom give it a good shake. You don't have to have long arms just don't let go of the top corners. If something doesn't quite fall into place I have been known to crawl inside and straighten it out.

You have to be ill to warrant a bed bath
And if you want your 'bits and bobs' to be shiny we can arrange that for you(it just takes a bit more ajax and wire wool)

Oh.....how sad......not sad that you aren't ill, but sad that you don't need the services of Lettie and Margaret to do your bedbath.
I had packed the ajax and the wire wool.....was just checking my passport was valid.....and the next bit of the plant was to get in touch with Lettie to find out when she was free.
We would have jetted off.....and been by your side in just a few hours......ready for action
