Re: Marvel and DC comics

I remember with deep seated resentment that I was arrested on the first day of issue of the DC comic. I got up and walked in the town centre to the main News agent which was on Peel St or was it Broadway? Anyway I saw it was light outside and got up and walked in to town, unfortunately it was about five in the morning I was picked up by the Police who decided to put the fear of god in me. I was held for two hours in a small room and grilled by a bald headed bloke in an s****y brown suite who stunk of fag smoke and stale whiskey who insisted that I was intent on holding up the Newsagent as he got off the bus. This of course was pure bo****ks I was just seven years old…………

Re: Marvel and DC comics

And the answer is no.......I never ever got to see the first issue, and I never wanted too after that. I stayed with the Eagle and the good old Beano…..
