Nappies

I was recently send a thread for another forum from a friend which was about a free nappy woucher in a mother and baby magazine. As I read through the thread I read numerous comments about how good these nappies were and were on a par with the leading brands. I thought after reading this I would give them a try, nothing to lose really and if they are better then it would save me money in the long run. I have tried these nappies on the twins and would say that they are just as good as any other which I have tried. Last night they went to bed in them at 7pm and got up around 8am this morning and no leaks!! There bums seemed fine too (no signs of any rash or anything) so these pass my tests lol.

I got these nappies from Lidl (im think they are their own brand) and the cost £4.99 for 44 size 5 nappies. As a comparison, Asda's own brand are £3.97 for 30 and obviously the other leading brands are more expensive than that (I have been using asdas own prior to trying these and pampers before then until the price of them went up).

Just though that I would share this with all you parents who will agree with me as to how expensive nappies are to buy

(I cant wait til these two realise that a potty is not for wearing on your head!!)

Hopefully i wont need to buy nappies for much longer.....just got to get him to poo in the loo and make him ask to go to a toilet when we go out n hey presto(currently doesnt wear nappies at night or at home and he wees in the toilet like a big boy

)......cant blinking wait.

Siobhan much preferred Huggies over Pampers, we found her to be drier and more content sleeper when she had Huggies on.

I see some company is setting up in teh UK a plant for recyling disposable nappies to extract the plastics and pulp stuff for re-use. So you can feel less "planet killing" about using them. (Although a reserch article I read said that it uses more energy and creates more CO2 to wash teh 'reusable ones than to make and process disposables.)

Your lucky........ How old is he now?? Cant wait for mine to be able to do that, saying that, they ask for stuff now in a fashion but by the time i realise that they need the loo it may be too late lol

I used to have a lot of leaks when I used huggies so went back to pampers and then onto asdas own. Will try anything though in a bid to save money (it costs a fortune with these two and my washers on enough as it is, just imagine how much it would be on if I used the terry nappies!)

Aldi nappies came recommended by a friend and we tried them last week (after previously using Huggies & Tesco)and they are great, no leaks and fit well and the price was great too, £4.99 if i remember rightly for about 50!!!! great value.

Same price and qty as the lidl ones then (the smaller sizes have around 50 per pack), I cant believe for 18 months + i have been paying top whack for nappies for two lol

The size I got was 5, the boys like them, theyve all sorts of animals etc on them, keeps them amused during nappy change anyway (well stops the tears for a minute lol)

His 3 in June,a late starter in all aspects really (talking,walking,potty training).But he doesn't do anything whilst i try teaching him,just all of a sudden he will automatically do it.
He latest was one day he asked to go upstairs-i let him and he pulled his step up to the toilet,lifted the lid then the seat,peed,got down,flushed the chain,washed his hands and turned round and smiled.....

Used the toilet at home and at his nans since that happened about a month ago!I was so shocked i nearly forgot to praise him-just stood there gawping lol.

Its good but kind of frustrating at the same time.I put a lot of effort into teaching Jack things then give up cos it frustrates me,then he goes and does it a few months later

My kids always used Pampers, never had a problem with them, especially when they got older and wee'd more, would not use any other, it was the same with the baby wipes, always used johnsons wipes
