paint brushes

I have just painted some of my skirtboards with satin paint and ive just washed the brush with hot water now my paintbrush is stcky is there anyway i can get the paint off and save my brush,im mad with myself because ive just paid for a good paintbrush now it looks like ive recked it,i thought that hot water would clean it well i was wrong stupid mistake that i will know not to do again, can anyone tell me how to get the sticky paint off or have i recked it

Have you tried some washing up liquid with the warm water? If that doesn't work i'd try some white spirits.

no but i will go and try that,havnt got white spiri,if it dont work i will go and get some white spirit and try that thanks accyjay

Water only washes emulsion or water based paint (like acrylics) out of brushes. You need a spirit to clean spirit based paint.
