Planting Wild seeds

No , Benipete, before you start, 'Wild flower seeds', not wild oats.

It seems that HBC in their leaflet Welcome to West Accrington, are suggesting wherever we find an open space we should sow some wild flower seeds what a great idea, they also recommend a site we will be able to get them from,

Landlife, the wildflower conservation charity working for nature and for people

Really, really, great, I look forward to buying some and spreading them around the borough next year.

So come on accywebbers why not join me?

Oh and by the way to give the scheme a little bit of competitive spirit, I will arrange for DOUBLE, Karma point's to the first person that gets fined by the Council Litter Police's, 'Jobs-worth', for fly-tipping!

(I do think it's a good idea though).

Re: Planting Wild seeds

There is a chap that goes around London planting wild flowers on bits of waste land and he has been prosecuted dozens of times, or at least threatened with prosecution... I'm not sure of the reason behind the council there objecting but how do you know if that is a silly little bit of legislation that applies to the whole country and would land you/me in court?
Personally I think it is a fabulous idea as I have recently begun to keep bees out the back and so the more flowers for them the more honey for me!
