Premium Bonds
Hi, anyone got any old Premium Bonds lying around. Not sure how to check them?
You can check on the National Savings and Investments website ( www.nsandi.com)
or you can ring 0845 964 5000 or
write to:- Premium Bonds, Natinal Savings & Investments, BLACKPOOL FY3 9YP
Go on, check, you might be sitting on a nest egg! :-)

Re: Premium Bonds
Have you used the Premium Bonds calculator?...........the odds have greatly reduced recently............which is a shame because the more you have the more you could win but now the more you have your chances of winning have reduced and so has the value and amount of prizes......

Re: Premium Bonds
I have just bought some Premium Bonds - might as well have a small chance of winning something when savings rates are peanuts.

One thing I've never understood, and never been fully explained, is the money left over, after all has been distributed, and can't be subdivided further.

Re: Premium Bonds
I have about £4000 in Premium Bonds. I bought the last lot about a year ago. I won £50, 8 years ago, when I only had a couple of thousand Bonds and didn't win again until in the last 6 months I have won £100. I know someone who has half the amount of Bonds I have and won £600 last year. Makes you sick, doesn't it?

Re: Premium Bonds
Thats gambling for you.
re Accylass, teh sort of Bonds you are talking about are completely different to Premium Bonds. These will never lose their capital only their actual 'worth' due to erosion by inflation.
teh loss of 34K on Bonds and stocks are due to him being prepared to take a gamble with his money in return for the chance of a good return. like chucking it on teh gee gees investing means you should be only taken by people who know and accept teh risk of what they are doing.

Can someone please explain what they would do with £89 million? It is just obscene to have a prize fund that big, surely sharing it out among several smaller prizes would be better

Re: Premium Bonds
Perhaps I should invest my student loan. Apparently the government are going to have to start paying student loans back for us if we have deflation..
