save time and space with your freezer

when you buy large bags of vegetables ... pea's chips and so on:
it saves time if you put them in ( your size portions ) in freezer bags:

also do the same with food that comes in boxes... this will leave more room in your freezer:

Oh I wish i had thought to post that.....we have been doing this for yonks.
Another tip in this time of economies is...when cooking potatoes, or any other veg......bring to the boil and then leave the lidded pan closed and let the food cook in its own heat.....use a steamer(two or even three lots of veg can then be cooked on one gas/electric ring)

When using the oven cook more than one dish.....I do a sunday Roast and often a casserole, or a pie at the same time.

i do the same Margret cook Sunday lunch. then and make pies and a casserole for the week i steam all veg for the week then freeze, and if i have time i do a jam rolly polle
