Re: soup

Mummiboo.....I posted a soup recipe on here about a year ago.....so if you put 'Winter Warmer' into the search thing it should come up. It is a really easy soup, low fat.....full of chunky veg so it is healthy......and if you add a few herb dumplings it makes a really good winter lunch. Try it you'll like it!

Re: soup

I made some last week and it was gone in a flash.......normally it gets better by the day.....well, unless some greedy hog eats it all.

If you are vegetarian......you can make it without the chicken and use vegetable stock cubes.

If I don't make dumplings we have garlic and chilli bread with it.......just steep some crushed garlic and a chopped chilli in Olive oil......pour a little of the oil into a non stick pan and fry thick slices of crusty bread......well, it is more like toast really because you only put a small amount of oil in the pan.

Re: soup

Take a packet of frozen peas (petit pois are best), add a few mint leaves, cook in chicken stock until done, liquidise, add more chicken stock if it's too thick, reheat. A swirl or two of cream doesn't come amiss, either.
