Streaky bits
my kitchen sink had lost its shine so i decided to try the 'bicarb' on it, the abrasiveness got rid of the dullness really well....but now i have streaky bits on my nice shiny sink *sob*
i swilled it really well with warm water and rubbed it really hard with a dry cloth but its still got white marks on it
anyone know how to get rid of the marks?
i'll be a very happy Shazzles if i can get it gleaming

I'd blush from embarrassment except that would highlight my fake tan.

Stainless Steel is ordinary steel with the addition of various quantities of Chrome, molebdynum, titanium and copper. They are not truely stainless, they all loose their shine over time, you could try a buffing wheel in an electric drill, but you would need buffing paste from an engineer suppliers. Stainless Steel gets harder the hotter it gets, and you could finish up with ripple marks if you lay on one spot to long.
I've tried panshine on our but with very little effect.
Retlaw.
