TV advice

I've got a (Panasonic 34") TV that I use for my CCTV system, upto now, I've never had any problems with it (I've had it about 5yrs).
Lately, it seems to have acquired a distorted horizontal section across the top part of the screen.

I'm wondering if anyone has had this happen to them or if anyone has any advice/ideas on a cheap fix.

Re: TV advice

Can`t tell from the pic, is it a lcd/plasma or an old type CRT. I`m guessing LCD/Plasma from it`s age, but the old CRT have some settings you could fiddle with (verticle/horizontal hold plus a few more I can`t remember), usually screw type things hidden somewhere around the back. Don`t think anyone fixes TV`s anymore, cheaper to chuck away and buy a new one.

Re: TV advice

Is that with or without the CCTV input?
I.E. is it the TV on its own, whats it look like on normal telly or dvd input etc?

I think it's a LCD as plasma's tend to be light and this thing is quite heavy.
I can't see any "screw type things" at the back,I'll probably get a new one if I can't fix it.

It was without a signal, here's a clearer pic that may help.

I think they are only on the really old kind, before LCD and plasma. Couldn`t tell from your pic what kind it was.

Cheers g, I've got a friend coming round tonight to have a look.
To be honest, I think I'll just have to buy a new one, it's served its purpose
You can pick a decent one up for around £100 nowadays.

Re: TV advice

That's just what my old monitor did. Pressing the left hand side of the screen stopped it for a while so I guessed it was the screen connections on that side.
Anyway, using a computer leaning forward squeezing the screen with your left hand makes life difficult. Only answer- replace it.

I'm not made of money D, I was thinking £100 maximum

It needs to be a large screen though because there are 4cameras split on one screen and I can't see them on smaller screens.
