Neil, they aren't exactly naff......they are just not made for this heavy duty weather.........and I bought them because they were for Breast Cancer......have the pink ribbon logo on them........and they are the short length wellies.
The good ones......are bright pink with roses on them and have a little strap on the side that you can let out, so that you can tuck your jeans in them.

Bet you wish you had bought one pair and stuffed a fiver in the breast cancer collection box now.

Re: Walking in Snow : A Tip

I have discovered a useful piece of advice today which I'd like to pass on - never walk in the snow in flip-flops. Thanks to a burst blister which is aggravated by wearing shoes, I ended up going to work in this rather unseasonal form of beachwear.

The cold didn't bother me, as your toes go totally numb after your socks are completely soaked. However, I've gone a**e over t*t five times, but I only hit my head on the pavement on three of those occasions, so the headache isn't too bad.

I wonder what I'm doing on Accyweb though? Never heard of the place!

Well, no I don't, because they are sort of summer and winter wellies......and OK I know that you shouldn't need wellies in summer, but where my Ma lives becomes like a river during summer storms and I bought the pink ribbon ones for then........the others are for serious snow...like we have now....and they are pretty too.
If you ask me nicely I might lend them to you

Thats why I am buying you the wellies so you can help me

Pets corner does not cost me anything - well the odd thing thats all. All the food and vets bills are paid by HBC. I think we are feeding half the wild birds in Ossy at the moment. If you look on facebook you can see some pictures of it with all the snow.
