1920s photos

Thought I'd post these two photos I came across when going through some family papers today. They are from the mid-1920s and show my dad along with several other people - who may be recognisable to members of Accyweb.

The first has written on the back "Taken Whit Monday 1924 Huncoat". My dad is the lad in short trousers kneeling at the front. He would have been 13. I've no idea who the other musicians are, sadly.

For the second picture, my dad wrote on the back:

Accrington Grammar School 1924-5?
Mr Ashworth R Ferguson Eric Barton J Jenkinson W Aspden Harold Fletcher Mr J Emmett
Ronnie Davis Walter Sagar T Briggs E Moss -?
Bert Creasey (my dad) George Knowlson Alan Ashworth

These are of course if I've read the handwriting correctly.

Wonder if that is the same Eric Barton who was my Headmaster when I was a Woodnook St Mary's late fifties, early sixties?
