Har, har .... you lot are sooo funny. I thought it was rather cute Three wheels seemed safer. They are expensive though .. think this may prohibit the purchase.

These are the full specs, but 125 c.c.

Piaggio 3 Wheel MP3 Scooter

P.S. I remember the pedal bikes with those little engines on too Retlaw, don't think they lasted long though, did they.

Better off with a Sinclair C5 kate

maybe of interest to one or two , seems electric bikes are becoming popular in Europe

I think that Peuge ot still do them but they're a rare sight nowadays in UK although I saw a few recently in Belgium. The photos on here are more like small motorbikes, and there were some of these later, but the mopeds I think you remember were more like bicycles in general appearance, and had the petrol tank on the down tube (from the top of the handlebars area to where the pedal cranks were mounted. The NSU Quickly was quite a common model with a two-speed gearbox controlled on the left hand side of the handlebar (the right hand side was the throttle (accelerator).
