That's strange, it shows up on mine. Oh well, my apologies, John. That's where it is and it's 1964 - looks like they were going for an early Rolling Stones look, maraccas and all!

All the guys who were in these groups, The Scorchers, Accrington Stanley, The Dappers, Sundowners, Cyclons, Francis T Construction, Tredwheels & saw on, Mark Day, you must hace photos & momentos of those times,

Another local band doing the rounds in those days were Ray Landen and the Midnight Hour, The Lead guitarist was called Henry lived over West End Ossy, and the guy who formed the band ad I think e was Rhythm Guitar was called Brendan, can't remember his last name, but he lived up Shad, the Drummer was called Derek lived on Tennyson Avenue in Ossy too

one of me mates, who i now see very infrequently was a Tredwheel Al, (roy taylor) but he talks very little about those days. still see a couple of dappers/sundowners pretty regular will ask em when next i see.

He still goes up t'Stanley...lives somewhere in Cheshire now...think he's done a few folk concerts at the social club. I'll ask him if I get the chance.

Anybody recall a teenage group who went by the name of 'The Warriers'. They were a group of teeny-boppers who were a hit with the girls in the 1960's. I recall them supporting 'Lennie and the TeenBeats' at Great Harwood's Mercer Hall one St Paddies Day, along with a traditional danceband for the oldies. I also saw them quite frequently at Accy Con. Those really were the days!!!

We've actualy dicussed this before cashy, they did start as a ten bopper group before Jon and Tony became involved, but there were two brother Tony and Ian Alveston, Tony was my mate and I travelled round with them when we were still at school, but can't ever remember them playing Accy Con, Tony is a member on here but haven't seen him post.
