I notice than when I'm feeling 'down' (which isn't most of the time- despite what some may think ), then the arguments between the Grumpy Old Men are wearysome.
When I am in a lighter mood and feeling good, they are amusing
makes me glad I don't have one
So I think that the impression of the site's amusement rating is influenced by your own happiness level at the time.
So Mez - get well soon - I have missed you

Re: Accyweb, what did it used to be like?
I came across this site quite by chance a couple of years ago. I joined because it's good to hear about what's happening in Accy but also because I think it's a great site with just the right mix of characters and personalities. Sometimes it makes me laugh, sometimes it makes me sad and sometimes it's very thought provoking.
No matter what, though, it's always interesting. I feel like I've made friends on this site.

You can always ignore the threads you find wearysome.

I don't know any songs about Mick.

No, I think they are indoor cats. To col here outside in winter and too sunny in summer. With no hair they would get sunburn

Hmmm???
It was just a bit of a joke, I did expect a few replies but this is over the top!
Never mind, the humour shown means the original idea might just still be there.
Long live accyweb & it's diverse posts.

Re: Accyweb, what did it used to be like?
I still have Accyweb as my home page and check it every day. I only post when I feel i`ve got something to offer up or I come up with a decent gag. I think my main claim to fame was pushing Gayle towards Accyweb in the run up to the P*n*ptc*n saga and she went on to become a cornerstone of the site. She spends far too much time on Facebook at the moment

We don't use * on here, have some stones and say panopticon. I think it is a little rude referring to Gayle as a cornerstone, her backside isn't that big
