No just stayed local - it kept fine so was a fun day out - no trouble happened.
I marched in the Yellow Ribbon contingent
(Oak tree Inn breakers) we had a banner - most clubs did

I presume 'over here' is Manchester
We had several and I was member at most
0h what a hectic social life I led then fondly remembered
Khyber Good Buddies at Sett End Inn
Martholme Grange
Canal Breakers
Yellow Ribbon Club
Spinning Jenny
.....there were more but those are the ones I went to most

Hiya Blue I think I remember you. Didn't you used to go to the eyeball at the Thwaites Arms as well as the Martholme do? I seem to recall you had a lady friend too, or have 28 years played tricks with my memory?

Oh my. Like messages from beyond. I remember being in his room late 80's whilst he talked to people using morse code. Years later when I got a guitar I learned that Ern played guitar too. Taught me a how to play a GMajor scale. ****, miss you Ern

Yeah worked on buses. Or as I used to call them as a kid "the red buses"
He was good friends with my Uncle Roy, who also works on the buses
