thats correct, yer memorys not as addled as mine roy. the pub i was on about on opposite side was the Old Bank i think? which wasn't Thwaites? but was the dunn horse not duttons?

Dunno but me best guess is it came from pirates n slave traders, due to the kinda folk like me who frequented it.

Yeh they don't make drinkers like they used to. could start at dinner n go until after time.
