i remember my gran making this for me a few minutes after i told her i was pregnant with Reece, i threw up for the rest of the day after eating it, i'm sure she was trying to do me in
but years before that i used to love it as a kid

I would reckon your best chance for cooking cheese would be the cheese stall on the outside market, an if I recall it was just the bits and pieces left over when folk had asked for a specific weight, then all grated up together giving that "distinctive " flavour.

I've had it for breakfast too, throw some tomatoes in and a couple of rashers of bacon on the top, make a good brekky.
Is it just me or do you eat half a loaf with it too

oh i havent had cheese and egg for yonks!!
i love it with tomatoes sliced and put around the plate on top with my egg in the middle, oh and it must be juicey too, lots of milk poured on ......  with salt and pep

I used to love the cheese and egg thing, but we always put milk in as well. I can eat the cheese, the egg or the crusty bread now due to food intolerances/allergies
