Re: Cigarettes

I remember my Great Grandma having a dog approximately 10" high that was made from Senior Service packets. My sister and I spent hours wondering how someone could weave cardboard into that shape. It must have took them ages to make. Obviously before television came on the scene.

Yes I remember seeing a dog made from Woodbine packets, probably as you say John in a shop window but could have been made at home in the long dark evenings before TV.

Re: Cigarettes

Passing Cloud, Bachelor, Kensitas, Black Russian, Domino, Peter Stuyvesant, State Express 555, etc, etc. Some of the posh ones came in tubs or boxes & loads with gift tokens so you'd smoke more & get cancer quicker - it did for my dad age 59 anyway!
