I bet no one remembers THE GROVE FAMILY,,oh it was great on a friday night ,,,granny Grove was the original Ena Sharples,,,,oh and THE ARMY GAME too,,,

can i add why dont you? to teh mix
despite them showing me each summer how to build a hovercraft my mother was always reluctant to let me use her double wardrobe and my pocket money never seemed to be enough to buy the engine needed to power it

I can vaguely remember the Grove Family....and The Army game was one of my Ma's favourite TV shows......with bootsie and snudge....and excused boots.
But as for the others.......they passed me by. I must have led a sheltered life

some episodes of get some in are on youtube at the present time under the raf regiment pages have to admit the chap that played the corporal drill instructor certainly looked the part

I do, our family loved "The Groves".
I rather fancied Michael Medwin, Corporal Springer in The Army Game, but I stopped watching it when Alfie Bass and Bill Fraser (Bootsie and Snudge) came in. I couldn't stand either of them.
