Hello Mick,

You probably going to go to the National Maritime Museum to check on the records that they have there. If you have'nt already done so, can I suggest that you give the Libarian a call there? Their records are pretty extensive (I know, I once worked there) and they'll be able to tell you what they have. They also have an extensive photo libary in the public domain and normally they will make copies and despatch within a week or two.

If you need to do further research in the Libary there, you will need a readers ticket which you will need to apply for in advance.

I guess that you have already checked with Shell. They have a corporate archives dept and they almost certainly will have piccy's of the ships you're talking about.

Re: Eagle Oil Shipping Co

Did you find any information about the San Vito ? I am looking for crew lists for 1944/5 and any other info about the ship at that time. My Dad Geoffrey Phillips was on this ship for approximately 2 years.
