Re: Last proper school, not college.

New Lane Ossy then Accy Grammar - only 2 of us passed 11+ in my year 1 girl (Jocelyn Griffiths) & me - even the headmaster's daughter (Catherine Wood) failed and he sent her to Paddock House. It was a bit lonely first day at AGS. Many memorable teachers - Ben Johnson/Crick/Portno etc. etc. Most of my mates went to Rhyddings, 1 or 2 to the Tech.

Knew Catherine very well, I used to go around with her and Jean Helm. Both lived on Sunny Bank Drive and Jean and I played tennis for Immanuel)
I went to Padock but Catherine was never sent there, can't remember where she went.
I also remember Jocelyn Griffiths, so could I possibly know you?

Hi - would that be Sue Counsell (older brother Michael) ? I recall a good-looking girl, medium height, lovely red/brown hair. I was probably too shy to speak to you Or then again maybe my memory fails as in the case of Catherine. Don't know where I got Paddock House from as I did know her for a time as a teenager at the Immanuel Parochial Hall youth club - courtesy Rev. Beale.

Regards

Thanks for the good-looking, thanks for the medium height and thanks for the lovely hair.
It's me but I think you must have had trouble with your eyes not your memory!
I remember your name, but I still haven't put a face to it yet.
I'll ask Michael (Mick Ware) to refresh my memory.
Nice to hear from you
Susan
