Re: Nayler the Printer

Well that is sad. Most of the guys that I new who were journeymen when I started my composing apprenticeship would be in their 70's. I wonder how many are still around now.

Re: Nayler the Printer

Peter, if you are still out there, have you seen this about Jimmy Allen ?

Funny how you have worked with people and never known their story. Always wondered why he limped, and too polite to ask. Didn't put him down as a romantic either. Great stuff :

True love story in book of Accrington soldier's letters (From Lancashire Telegraph)

Was sad how his life ended though .. can't remember the full details, but vaguely was attacked by intruders into his home and the shock killed him.

Re: Nayler the Printer

Hi Kate

No I didn't get the files, maybe they went into the junk mail folder and I deleted them without realising. Perhaps if you are very kind they can be re-sent. I will await their appearance.

Still 32°C

Pete

Re: Nayler the Printer

There was a Cornthwaite family in India St, even numbers. Dave C was in the police for a while. He will now be 70+....I do hope that all is wel for the Naylers and all their workers. They treated me, a customer, very well
