Nelson Grammar School

I have been asked by the membership secretary of the Nelson Grammar School Pupils Society ( or similar name) to bring that group to the notice of Accringtonwebbers. He seeks to make contact with any former NGS pupils, and also hear from members of any others who attended any grammar schools in Lancashire, and wants to know of any memories you have relating to NGS.He also wants to know of any Lancashire grammar schools which have an Old Boys or Girls group. Nelson was a bisexual ( is that the correct word?) grammar cschool. His name is [email protected]

Re: Nelson Grammar School

Nelson may have asked Hardy to kiss him, as he drew his last breath, but I don't think he was bisexual.

He could have been co-educational though.

Re: Nelson Grammar School

I don't remember any bisexuals at Accrington Grammar either. But, who knows?
Glad I didn't go to Nelson GS.
I certainly wouldn't fancy a one eyed, one armed man who's covered in blood. Still, each to his own.

In fact Mr Booth, one AGSOB has changed to the other gender.
Let me say how I have appreciated these postings from Garinda & Gordon,. (Sounds like a duo)

Are you 'coming out', Bob?Bravo!

Always glad to help,I'm sure Garinda is also. As long as you don't want me to kiss you or go to a Nelson GS re-union.

Re: Nelson Grammar School

If my use of the phrase 'kiss my arse' is 'coming out', then yes, I am.

To be totally honest, Bob, I don't fancy that either.
