Re: Payment terms
Gayle, quick tip - keep your address book with you. Put in a believable name that you will remember, and add your pin no to the end of the telephone number e.g. 0207 495 ****. Works for a lot of people.
I loved the whizzy machine in the Union Street shop. It was probably made by a firm called Dart Cash Carriers in Stoke on Trent, still going in the late 60s, but I don't suppose it is now, unless they've diversified. Shopping was a lot more fun in those days - going to the Co-op with your order book, giving your divi number, and when you got home the boy with the bike was there with all the stuff in his huge basket. And the smells - fresh ground coffee, spices, and lots of other mouth-watering things, fresh butter and cheese off the block, and bacon from the bacon slicer, cut just how thick you wanted it. Happy days!
