Yep, there's some interesting stuff on there. There's a section on Accrington's own Soundcasters, where I've put my two pen'th in!

No, hadn't noticed that, RB. I'll send him the few snippets of info I know about the band, although I'm sure there are a few on this site who know more about them than I do!

Cheers, RB. I worked on the Highways Dept with Mick Brereton in '69. He kept me entertained with stories of the group's time in Germany. David Foster has his own website now

Interesting stuff on there - a pic of the Warriors (plus a CD of them live in some club in Bolton) and a pic of the great lost Accy supergroup, Accrington Stanley, featuring David, Rod Hill and local legend, Wammy!

Hi W . . . Just followed your link thru to the Soundcasters. Nice One. Does any one remember Alexis Corner being around for a short while and the onset of the local band [all be it brief] 'Corner Blues'

Tunny, I vaguely remember Korner Blues. Was the legendary Alexis actually in it? Seem to recall it involved a number of local musos like Tom Robinson, Ernie Lee, Ian Alveston etc. Maybe your kid could tell us more?

RB, cheers for the Wammy site link - very interesting. I saw him performing outside a bar in Benidorm a few years ago. When he spotted my Stanley shirt, he called me up to the mike and we had a quick chorus of "Accy - Accy Stanley" to an audience of bemused holidaymakers!
