Rock around the Clock, Bill Haley

Can anybody remember going to see the film 'Rock Around The Clock' with Bill Haley..in the 1950's it was shown at either the Kings Hall or the Ritz..not sure which one..but I lived in Crawshaw Street and my friends were Barbara Gudgeon and Lily Smith, (does anybody know them, would love to make contact again),
we danced in the streets all the way home...that film seem to change our lives.

Re: Rock around the Clock, Bill Haley

I saw it in Burnley, went straight from work - so that had to be '56/57.

I danced in the aisles at the Palladium, but I can't say it changed my life.

Sorry, must have been the Palace. The "Bug Hut" was always years behind with new films, unless you are talking of much later then 56/57

yes it must have been 56/57, and could have been The Palace....wasn't it at the top of Peel St on the right hand corner?
