Any one remember Armand and Michaella Dennis Wild Life photographers in the 50s had the own TV program for a few years

Ya Margaret, she was a very photogenic young lady, mind you I was only very young at the time and didn't really take notice of girls in those days

The first TV I ever watched was the Queens Coronation. My uncle had built a television using a bomber radar screen which was about 9 inches across, in a huge box. The whole picture was in bright shades of green which we didn't find strange at the time. There were about 15 of us crowded round this tiny screen.
It was several years before my folks got a proper TV.

Think I was the same Gordon, can remember going to the local grocers, on Union Road with my Mum Dad and Grandma to watch the Queens coronation, then off to a street party, well it should have been, but it ended up in the Foxhill Grove church hall (which is now a car park) because of the weather

Must have been one hell of a storm to turn a church hall into a car park.

Talking to the wife last night about early TV (mid 50s) we couldn't rememeber what time the thing came on and till what time?? Watch with Mother around lunchtime, then nothing then something???? around 5pm until 11 pm or something there abouts??? Anyone!!
