Loved the Ace of Spades to, as I was working and living in at Brockhall at the time so I could walk back over the fields, if I needed to. Friday nights were the Loadstar, then on to the Royal Oak on longsight Rd, great jukbox, on to Blackburn for a few pubs then the Cav. driving all the way , crazy iresponsible days, we didnt know any better,

Can't believe only two people has mentioned the Loadstar. Used to love it there and also the New Inns at Rishton. Didn't really start going to nightclubs until late 70s due to not being born till 61. Anybody remember the Apollo? Weren't really a night club but it was a good night.
