I'm not brave enough to install anything else in case I cock something else up. My son's friend is coming to have a look at it for me. Thankfully I can use my laptop. It hasn't got anthing else installed on it but what it came with.

Frank you can download Firefox and run it alongside IE....so if you tried it and really didn't like it you could revert back to IE. It gives you a choice of browser.
I felt exactly the same about changing....I was worried I would be out of the frying pan and into the fire, but it was one of the best decisions ever.

Hehe, I could say put and kettle Margaret! ;-) in the same way Linux can be installed alongside windows so you can switch back and fourth.....

Yes I know Ian....I downloaded Linux onto a memory stick with the intention of doing just that.......with my laptop......OS Vista(hateful OS)...but my daughter doesn't seem to mind it....but when she does...I am ready to go...and have a go
